Band Bio: Carl Lewis and the Deadbeats was formed about 15 years ago in 1995 to do a fundraiser for the local Women's Shelter. Led by Judge Carl Lewis, the band continued to get gig requests. The band plays 20 to 25 times per year for worthy organizations and sometimes just for fun. All members of the band like their day jobs, but are always ready to step up for the right purpose. In October of 2008, the band unfortunately lost its frontman, the late great Judge Carl Lewis. The band committed to continue its purpose with its newest Deadbeat - Kristine Stevenson (vocals).
